Making Memories Some familiar faces showed up at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday to meet the media and take a little batting practice ahead of the opening of the NLCS on Thursday night. One of those ex-Phillies on hand was Larry Bowa, the scrappy shortstop and manager who was an integral part of the franchise’s lone World Series title . But on Wednesday Bowa spoke very little about the 1980 team and its march to destiny. Instead, Bowa and ex-Dodger turned Phillies coach, Davey Lopes, remembered the old rivalry, including the infamous, “Black Friday.” But the current group of Phillies is intent on making its own legacy.
